Splash!!

I received two emails from two wonderful readers giving me a heads up on this place. Let me just say this- I didn't even know this place existed!! I love water parks and we have been to the typical ones in the area- Raging Waters, Soak City, etc.., However did you know that there is an amazing an affordable water oasis in La Mirada? I didn't either!
Splash is the city of La Mirada's Aquatic Center. Bucanner Bay is the water park and it features a lazy river(my fav), slides, spray areas and a beach. The park also features shade areas, cabanas that are available for daily rental, a snack bar and lockers.
Admission is $16 for adults and $11 for children 3-11. Under 3 are free. The park is open daily through September 7th and on the weekends until September 27. Hours of admission are 10:30am - 5:30pm.
It's an amazing little place that you will have to check out.

Do you know if they have an area for non-swimming children? Our 2 year old is still "experimenting" with water but I thought this might be a great place to take him if there is an area where he can just get his feet wet. Maybe seeing all the other kids playing in it would lessen his fears.

Hi Kathleen, I believe there is a zero depth beach area that is perfect for the kiddos. I personally love the beach area at Knott's Soak City. Our two year old loves the little waveless area. They can splash around and you don't have to worry. It's great!
