Channel Islands Visitor Center

We had the opportunity to head up the coast this past weekend. I have wanted to take the kiddos to the Channel Islands National Park for some time now and decided to head over to the Visitor Center to learn more about the park. The Channel Islands National Park Visitor Center is open daily from 8:30am to 5pm and is free to the public. The Visitors Center features a tide pool exhibit that my kiddos absolutely went bonkers for, a native plant garden that they ran through, exhibits that feature the character of each park, an amazing observation deck and a 25 minute park movie "A Treasure in the Sea". It's a great place to explore and the best part is that it's free. It's a fantastic place to visit with the kiddos and a great place to learn about the Channel Islands. Next time you are in the area take an hour to check this little gem out. You are going to love it! We had a great time learning all about the park and are planning to head to one of the islands-Anacapa Island next Saturday. I can't wait to head out and share my experience with you.
