Griffith Observatory- Always Free and Public Star Parties

Have you heard of Griffith Observatory's  Public Star Parties? The Free public star parties are held monthly with the assistance of the Los Angeles Astronomical Society and the Los Angeles Sidewalk Astronomers at the Griffith Observatory from 2:00 p.m. to 9:45 p.m. They are a chance for the whole family to look at the sun, moon, visible planets, and other objects, to try out a variety of telescopes, and to talk to knowledgeable amateur astronomers about the sky and their equipment.

The Public Star Party for the month of November will be this Saturday November 21st. If you have yet to visit the observatory with the kiddos, this might be the perfect day to head out. Admission and Parking are always free! Pack a lunch and enjoy a fantastic day/evening ath the Grifitth Observatory.
