Imagination Workshop- Temecula Children's Museum

I can't believe this is the first time I'm writing about this fantastic place. The Imagination Workshop- Temecula's Children's Museum is a must stop for you kiddos. The museum is located in Old Town Temecula and sure to be a hit with your kiddos. The museum centers around Professor Pennypickle and his Imagination Workshop. Your kiddos will be able to romp around each of the themed rooms and partake in hands on exhibits and gadgets. There are several themed rooms such as The Library - the kiddos will learn about time and travel and the kitchen- the kiddos will learn all about physics and chemistry. I love places that can not only entertain my children but provide them with wonderful learning experiences. The Temucula Children's Museum is also a great place to visit because they break up the day into sessions. I think this is a wonderful idea because it allows you to experience the exhibits without long waits and of course it means more breathing room!! The sessions are as follows-

Admission is 4.50 for guests 3 years of age and older. Not only is it a great place to visit but it's also great on the wallet!!

Free Admission to the Kidseum/Bowers Museum

There is nothing better than free admission to a great place. I promised I would bring you one post a week of something free. Here is the tip of the week. The first Sunday of the month, pack a bag and head to the Bowers Museum and Kidseum. Both of these fantastic places are free the First Sunday of the month thanks to generous funding from Target. The kidseum is a perfect place for the kiddos and the Bowers is perfect for anyone. You will love it and the deal is even sweeter because you will be able to do something fun with your kiddos without spending a dime. for additional information click here

Target Free Saturday at the La Habra Children's Museum

I live for the weekends. I love hanging out with my family and being able to run around town visiting fun places. I start planning ahead early in the week. If you are like me then mark your calendar because one of my favorite places- The La Habra Children's museum is offering free admission thanks to Target. If you haven't been able to make a visit this would be a perfect opportunity. Your kiddos and wallet will thank you.

Los Angeles County Museum of Art- Free Admission on MLK

I'm all about doing free things. I'm sure you all are too!! If you are looking for something to do on Monday to celebrate Dr. King's birthday why not try a visit to the LACMA(Los Angeles County Museum of Art). Thanks to a generous contribution from Target(one more reason why I love Target- they are sponsors of several local museums),visitors of all ages are invited to a free day at the museum featuring live performances, tours, and self-guided activities. The museum will be having special performances and family friendly activities. Make sure to check out the children's special audio tour designed specifically with your little ones in mind. La Habra Children's Museum Revisited

The museum is located in the City of La Habra. It's a couple of blocks north of Imperial Ave on Euclid Ave. It's located on the grounds of Portola Park. The museum is small but it will keep your children entertained for a couple of hours at least.

My daughter's favorite thing to do there is play in the mini market. They have a little mart set up with a register, shopping baskets, carts and plastic produce. They have a carousel that runs every half hour for children under 6 and in the same room a real OCTA bus that the kids can horse around in. There is a stage/dress up area that is a big hit with the preschoolers and also a preschool play room which contains a tree house, kitchen , dolls, toy area and a storytelling corner with many books. There is also a real caboose that you can board and explore.

I have made a day trip out of this by bringing a picnic lunch and letting the kids loose on the park's playground. I love this place and hope you enjoy it too. La Habra Children's Museum301 South Euclid Street, La Habra, CA 90631

Admission is $6 per person while 2 and under are free. It's closed Mondays and open from 10 am to 4 pm Tue-Fri, Sat from 10-5 pm and Sundays from 1-5 pm. Closed all major holidays.

Bob the Builder at The Discovery Science Center

Just in time for summer at the The Discovery Science Center. From May 23 to Sept. 7, 2008, Bob the Builder and his can-do crew invite aspiring builders and their families help to get the job done, as the first-ever hands-on Bob the Builder–Project: Build It traveling museum exhibit visits Taco Bell Discovery Science Center.

This 2,000 square-foot multimedia exhibit is sponsored nationally by Indianapolis-based Delta Faucet Company and inspired by HIT Entertainment’s top-rated television series, Bob the Builder – Project: Build It. It will replicate elements from Bob the Builder’s world in Sunflower Valley, inviting exploration, inspiring teamwork and bringing environmentally friendly building themes to life for children and families.

The Bob the Builder – Project: Build It traveling museum exhibit will invite families to spend time in Sunflower Valley with Bob the Builder, Wendy and the rest of the can-do crew. Children can practice their own fixing with kid-smart activities that build up their can-do attitudes and encourage them to be an active part of Bob the Builder – Project: Build It. Families can also work together to install new parts to sinks in Bob the Builder’s mobile home and in his building workshop, and learn about water conservation, courtesy of exhibit presenter Delta Faucet Company.

The nuts and bolts of the exhibit:
Meet the Can-Do Crew - Construct an afternoon of activity -- build memories and snap photos with a life-sized, three-dimensional Bob the Builder and Benny, the specialist digger.
Bob’s Mobile Home - See Bob the Builder’s blueprint for success as children explore their favorite builder’s mobile home. Children can be part of the crew and help fix the drip coming from Bob the Builder’s sink or watch video clips from the popular series.
Build the Machine Shelter - Be part of the team, laying stones in the walls of the machine team’s shelter and building stalls for Roley, Scoop, Benny, Muck and Scrambler to sleep.
Drive a Machine - Let’s Scram! Rock and roll with Roley the Steamroller and dig up fun with Scoop the Digger!
Talkie Talkie - This problem-solving crew has a lot to say and each member has a special phrase. View a picture of each team member and push a button to hear their famous catch phrases, “No prob, Bob” or “Let’s rock and roll!”
Wendy’s Caravan - Wendy needs some help from the team to refurbish and decorate her caravan and plant beautiful flowers.
Water Pump - Farmer Pickles isn’t the only one in Sunflower Valley that knows that water conservation is important. Children can explore the interactive water pump station, learn important messages about water conservation and help to bring water to Sunflower Valley.

atI love free things, well really I don't know anyone who doesn't. My son is crazy about dinosaurs and I've been meaning to take him to the Natural History Museum . I was looking around their website for info when I came upon this deal. If you've been meaning to visit the Natural History Museum of Los Angeles County make sure to set the first Tuesday of the month aside. Admission is free the first Tuesday of the month.
