Free Event- Meet Sid the Science Kid at the California Science Center

Sid the Science Kid is coming to the California Science Center on Sunday September 26th. During this FREE event, open to the public from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., kids and their parents will be able to watch, touch, discover and explore their world at several interactive stations throughout Ecosystems, the Science Center’s newest exhibit gallery.


At the interactive stations, Little Scientists will learn about different science concepts and discover the rules of ecology, helping them understand more about some of the Earth’s most fascinating ecosystems and become better stewards of the environment while journaling about the day in their Sid the Science Kid Journal.

They will:


Investigate. In The LA Zone, Little Scientists will learn about the importance of recycling and how to sort through items and decide what can be reused.
Explore. At the touch tanks located in the Rocky Shore and Central Organizer, kids will get up close and personal with some of the creatures who live along the rocky shore.
Compare and Contrast. In the Curator’s Lab, Little Scientists will learn how kelp is different from plants, and how brine shrimp is different from other tiny sea creatures.

Sid the Science Kid & First Five California Hands On Health Express at The Discovery Science Center + quick Giveaway!

If you have a Sid the Science Kid lover at home, this is something, you do not want to miss! Sid will be making a special appearance at Discovery Science Center this Sunday, August 1, 11:30 a.m. - 3 p.m.  

The First 5 California Hands-On Health Express is a traveling exhibit and the first stop for everything related to children ages 0-5, with an array of educational activities promoting children's healthy development and overall well-being.

At this event kids can participate in interactive learning activities while parents learn about health services, school readiness, nutrition programs and other local resources.

It looks like it will be fun for the entire family!

Sid the Science Kid Way to Play Day at Pretend City and Giveaway!

Sid the Science Kid is coming to Pretend City Children’s Museum on Friday, June 11th. Sid the Science Kid will be at the museum from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. for a very special Way to Play Day with Sid! Little ones of all sizes  can dance, sign and play with Sid himself!


Special activities taking place during Way to Play Day with Sid the Science Kid include:

· VIP viewings of a BRAND NEW Sid the Science Kid episode titled “No School Singalong Special” – this episode will not air until June 21st, so this special event invites your kids to see it first!

· “I’m looking for my friends” sing-along parade with Sid

· Photos with Sid

Giveaway Time! TALKIN’ SID THE SCIENCE KID Plush

Happy Sunday Evening. I usually don't look forward to Sunday evenings because it means back to the grind, so to help ease my Sunday night blues, I decided to do a giveaway! This is one that your kiddos will enjoy.

About a  week ago I received a Sid the Science Kid Plush to review and let me just say that as soon as my son saw what it was he could not wait to get it out of the box and start playing with it. It is super cute and my son has walked around with it all week.
